Why I'm Catholic

Today, the story of "why I'm Catholic" is highlighted at the website of the same name: Why I'm Catholic. If you haven't heard of the site, it is essentially a growing repository of Catholic conversion stories. What I like best about it is that it features stories from many backgrounds and walks of life: agnostic converts, atheist converts, Hindu converts, Buddhist converts--even "Pagan" converts. That diversity reveals the many unique paths that people have taken toward the Church.

So when you visit the site, be sure to browse some of the other stories as well!

(P.S. If you scroll down to the bottom of the article, you'll find a picture of a wobbly-legged, younger me, rocking a sharp tuxedo--so fly.)

Thanks for the kind words Elizabeth! I've enjoyed a number of you blog posts--which I discovered through the #Cathmedia hashtag. Keep up the good work, as well!

P.S. Through your blog I also discovered the "Bright Maidens"--though I'm a man, you three are women after my own heart! I can't wait to read more from all of you.

I love converts too!! :)

I love this line: "I thought, 'If so many of these spiritual giants were Catholic, and if so many of these practices stem from the Catholic tradition, then there must be some truth to the Catholic faith.'"

Well-said! I also like what you said about logic with Kreeft... ah, yes. Man after my own heart! I also like what you say about people changing you- it really does take another person, sometimes, to give you the first taste of an intimate God who loves us and wants more than just the facts, ma'am.

I look forward to reading your book! Yes, yes- keep up the good work!
